Axel was found on the streets with a prong collar embedded in his neck. Without medical care and shelter, he surely would have died! At Heritage Humane, Axel found healing and a family that adores him. Make your gift by December 31 and it’ll be matched dollar for dollar.
Dear Heritage Humane Society family,
As 2022 draws to a close, please know how grateful we are at The Heritage Humane Society for your gracious and generous support. Whether you supported the pets in our community by adopting a pet, participating in one of our many events, making a donation to keep our program going, volunteering your time at the shelter, advocating for homeless pets, or by fostering pets in need, your support matters.
This was a year that everything went crazy within the animal welfare world. With intake numbers being higher than ever, we have all done everything we can to keep our heads above water. Here at the shelter, the demand for our services increased by more than 30%. Limited staffing was challenging, however our volunteers helped make up for the shortages, and together, we provided a quality of care for these homeless pets like never before. We had hundreds of special case animals with behavior challenges or medical challenges, and provided a pathway forward for every pet in crisis that needed help.
As we stop to reflect over the past year, I want you to know that the community continues to amaze me with the love and support you share. On behalf of our entire team, we appreciate you!
There are just a few hours left if you haven’t had a chance to send your final donation of 2022. I invite you to please use this link so your gift can go twice as far with our year-end matching gift challenge. You can rest a little easier tonight knowing that your support is making a life-changing, sometimes life-saving difference. We hope to see you in the coming new year here at our shelter. Happy New Year, friends!
Most Sincerely,
