DESCRIPTION:Community Snoutreach Adoption Event\nFriday\, August 11 – Sunday\, August 13\, 2023\nEighteen participating municipal shelters and private animal rescue organizations are conducting a fee-waived or fee-reduced adoption event this weekend thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation for a greater Richmond. Coordinated by the Richmond SPCA and Ring Dog Rescue\, these 18 groups will offer reduced or waived adoption fees in an effort to send hundreds of homeless dogs into loving homes\, freeing up much-needed space at public and private animal welfare organizations across metro Richmond and beyond.\nThe Heritage Humane Society will be participating in this adoption weekend. All dog adoption fees will be 75% OFF this Friday\, Saturday and Sunday.\nAs a reminder\, adoptions are first-come\, first-serve. If you are interested in learning more about our adoptable pets visit heritagehumane.org/adopt. Our adoption hours are from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.\, Tuesday – Sunday.\nThis promotion is for approved adopters only. This promotion is only for dogs ready to go home. This promotion cannot be combined with other specials.

Get ready to stretch\, relax\, and have a playful time\, all while supporting the Heritage Humane Society. Adoptable dogs will be there to wag their tails and bring some extra joy to your yoga practice. So grab your mat and come down to the Midtown Row Village Green (across from Super Chix) for a fun-filled and meaningful yoga session. Let’s help our furry pals find their forever homes while finding our inner zen.\n\nCameron Green will be leading the session. Cameron is an RYT-200 yoga instructor in the Williamsburg community. She received her RYT-200 training from Jessica Ruff\, and she believes that by focusing on body alignment and connecting breath to movement\, yoga can strengthen and heal our mind-body connection. She has been practicing yoga for over a decade and is thrilled to combine her love of animals with her love of yoga at Heritage Humane Society. Cameron grew up working in her family’s animal hospital and currently shares her home with a dog named Gus and two cats named Oyster and Tobias.\n\nTickets are $10\n\n100% of ticket sales will go towards the Heritage Humane Society. For $20 you can sign up your pup to participate in the contest (40 contestants maximum). Prizes will be awarded to the top 4 fastest ice cream eaters. The contest will take place next to The Hungry Pug Food Truck at Billsburg Brewery at 2 PM. We ask that all dog contestants arrive at least 15 minutes early.\nAll proceeds from the event benefit the homeless pets at The Heritage Humane Society. Register online now.
