Join us on Saturday\, March 16\, 10 AM – 2 PM at Jamestown Beach Event Park for Fido Fest\, a family festival featuring dog-friendly activities\, games\, and contests.* Food ($)\, merchandise ($) and community vendors will also be onsite. \nAll dogs attending Fido Fest must be on a leash no more than 8′ long. No retractable leashes. Dogs must be current on vaccines. Admission is $5 per car\, cash or check only. \nCo-hosted by Heritage Humane Society and James City County Parks & Recreation \nFeatured contests include:\n• Fido Fashion Show – prizes for best overall\, best couple\, funniest and most creative\n• Best Trick Contest – two minute max. time limit\n• Dog Photo Contest – prizes for best smile\, best costume\, best overall\, precious pup (age 2 and under) and precious pup (age 3+). If you would like to donate items you can come by the shelter from 12 PM-4:30 PM Tuesday-Sunday OR drop the items off in our green donation bin outside our shelter doors if we are closed.
