NBC has changed this initiative from a one-day event to a MONTH LONG event! Clear the Shelters will run from August 23 through September 19. Hundreds of shelters across the country have teamed up for this nationwide pet adoption drive. The goal is to help find loving homes for homeless pets in need and also help to financially support animal shelters!\nMORE details coming soon!\nAs a reminder\, we are operating at an appointment-only adoption process. DESCRIPTION:Join us at PetSmart on Saturday\, September 4 from 12 pm – 2 pm for an Adoption Event! \nThere are many ways you can help and participate in this event!\n  \n  \nCome visit the cats and kittens!\nThere are adoptable cats in the Cat Adoption Center at PetSmart. We will have volunteers at PetSmart from 12 pm – 2 pm to show cats!\n \nMeet some other adoptable pets!\nWe will have adoptable dogs and possibly some small critters at PetSmart from 12 pm – 2 pm. Look for the orange “Adopt Me” vest on the dogs!\n\nLearn about the happening at Heritage Humane Society!\nWe will have an information table set up inside PetSmart. Make sure to visit it to see what is happening at our shelter right now! DESCRIPTION:Event Date and Location:\nSaturday\, September 25 from 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm\nMounts Bay Rec Center (in Kingsmill) – 101 Tutters Neck\, Williamsburg\, VA 23185\n \nEvent Details:\nBody Balance Yoga & Fitness\, Full Circle Yoga + Pilates and Layman Wellness are joining forces to host this Special Community Event!  Come and join us to celebrate the Fall Equinox and welcome in the new season! All proceeds from this event will be donated to help care for the homeless pets at the Heritage Humane Society.\nWe will start the day with a Meet and Greet from some adorable and adoptable dogs from the Heritage Humane Society\, which will be followed by an All -level yoga flow class\, a Sound Bath & Meditation and a Drum Circle.\nThroughout the afternoon we will have a Meditation Garden available for anyone wanting to enjoy a quiet peaceful environment and thoughtful introspection.\nWe will wrap up the afternoon with a Sangha featuring an assortment of delicious teas and an opportunity to socialize with friends and other members of the wellness community.\n \nSchedule of Events:\n12:30 pm – On-site check-in and Meet and Greet with some of the adorable dogs from HHS.\n1 pm – Yoga Class – All Level Flow. Prior experience is not required but suggested\, bring your own mat.\n2:15 pm – Sound Bath & Meditation. No experience is needed\, bring your own mat.\n3 pm – Drum Circle. No experience is needed\, drums will be provided.\n4:15 pm – Sangha Gathering (to include tea and social time)\n \n\nRegistration:\nSpace is limited to allow for mindful spacing between participants.  Pre-registration and event donation in advance is required to secure your spot.
