DESCRIPTION:Update – Our 2020 Animal Camps have been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. We are saddened that we are unable to host campers at our facility this summer. We recognize how important camps are to this community\, but we need to keep the health and safety of the campers first and foremost. DESCRIPTION:August is Clear the Shelters month! Heritage Humane Society is thrilled to join WAVY TV 10 for the 6th annual CLEAR THE SHELTERS campaign! In order to help everyone continue to practice safe social distancing measures\, NBC has changed this initiative from a one day event to a MONTH LONG event! Clear the Shelters will run from August 1 through August 31. Hundreds of shelters across the country have teamed up for this nationwide pet adoption drive. The goal is to help find loving homes for homeless pets in need and also help to financially support animal shelters!\nWe are excited to announce an adoption promotion for this years’ Clear the Shelters. For our younger kid’s camp\, they will learn first-hand about the pets in our animal shelter during this 5 day-long Animal Camp. Throughout the week guest speakers from the animal welfare field will be doing interactive presentations for the campers. In addition\, each camper will get a chance to interact with a variety of pets at Heritage Humane Society. They will learn from our staff and volunteers what is involved in caring for the pets at our shelter. There will also be a variety of fun crafts and games throughout the week focused on animal welfare\, biology\, and conservation. The dedicated staff and volunteers will cultivate responsibility\, compassion\, and awareness in each camper that will be delivered over the course of a fun-filled week. \n \n  \nTuition of $225 per camper includes: \n\nExclusive Animal Camp t-shirt\nDigital photo album\nDaily snacks\nCrafts\nGames\nFriday pizza party\n\nClick HERE to learn more!
