Have a Heart for a Homeless Pet

Open Your Heart! Now through Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14), we hope you’ll participate in our Hearts for Homeless Pets campaign by buying paper hearts to show your love for pets! You can customize your heart with a pet lover’s name, pet’s name, a name of an adoptable pet at Heritage Humane Society, or a special message. All donations are tax-deductible and will directly benefit the pets in our care.

We are asking for a $10 or more donation per heart. Each heart can proudly display a name or message of your choosing. The hearts will be displayed in our adoption center front lobby from Jan. 23 through Feb. 20.

There are three ways to purchase your heart(s).

1.) Donate online. If you donate online, your special message will be written on the heart and then hung in our lobby.

2.) Donate in person. Starting on Jan. 23, if you visit in person, you can customize your heart here with a name, message, or drawing of your choosing. We have pens and markers available to make your heart special! We are open from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm daily.

3.) Pay by check. and mail our  Hearts for Homeless Pets Form to 430 Waller Miller Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185.

You can choose to dedicate your heart(s) to one or more of the homeless pets in our care! Visit heritagehumane.org/adopt to see a full list of pets.

Come by our adoption center between 8 am – 4:30 pm to submit your guess(es)! The winner will be drawn and contacted on Feb. 15!
