Molly

Sweet & Mellow

Molly
What’s better than adopting a dog? Adopting a senior dog!
Laid-back Molly is an older chihuahua mix who is looking for a home to call her own. At 10 years old, you don’t need to fret about those annoying puppy behaviors. She is incredibly friendly, very calm, and still has a LOT of love to give. She came in as a stray, so we don’t have any history on Molly before she came to HHS.
Stop by Heritage and give Molly a chance to become your true companion. Our pet viewing and adoption hours are 12 – 4:30 p.m., Tuesday – Sunday. You can learn more about Molly and the other adoptable pups in our care at heritagehumane.org/dogs.

Notes from Molly’s foster mom:

Molly is a super sweet senior gal brought in as a stray. The first few days were hard. Molly seemed anxious and confused. She would often pace and whine. Outside in our fenced-in yard she would put her nose through the slats and bark. As the days progressed, she calmed down but when awake would follow you from room to room. Overall, she is a very quiet and docile pup. I bathed her and cleaned her ears in the first few days.  She seeks humane companionship but is not a cuddly lap dog. She likes to sit or stand alongside you to be petted. Occasionally you get a small tail wag. She has shown no signs of aggression and shies away from other dogs. Her favorite pastime is to sleep on the couch all day and at night preferably with a human. She likes short leisurely walks in quiet environments. She is overwhelmed by big crowds of dogs and people. Molly likes to roll in the grass and sniff the fresh air. She has not had any accidents in the house.  The crate is not her favorite place, but she does not bark or destroy bedding inside the crate. Molly would like to keep on truckin’ into her forever home for her remaining golden years. She needs security and reassurance of a stable home. With time this little girl will shine.
