Sampson

Clumsy Sweetheart

Sampson
Sampson is a 7-year-old Pit Bull mix with a sweet and playful personality. Whoever adopts Sampson will be rewarded with unending affection and love.  All he wants is playtime, butt scratches, and lots of adventures! He enjoys leisurely walks, car drives, and more, but his favorite place to be laying right beside you. He has been on multiple offsite trips during his time with us and he is always thrilled to meet new people and sniff some new smells.
Below are some notes from his foster mom:
“Sampson is such a sweet and polite boy. He has been the most well-trained dog I have ever had. If he wants to join you on the couch or bed, he first looks at you to see if it is okay and a simple head shake is enough to get him to join or sit on his own bed instead. He doesn’t have any separation anxiety and can be left alone without a crate because he never does anything he isn’t supposed to. He also rarely barks and hasn’t had any accidents inside the house. If he sees other dogs, he will whine because he wants to go say hi to his new friends. All of these plus his low energy make him a good dog for anyone with pets and in any living situations, including apartments.
A big warning about this cutie is that if you have something that smells delicious, he will stare into your soul, guilting you to either give him some or eat somewhere else. He LOVES to follow his person around and settle where ever they are but be warned, he will be picky with his cuddles at first. Pets are welcome right away, but you have to earn cuddles from him. I’m glad to report that he is now accepting cuddles from everyone in our house.
If you can only make a small time commitment but want a cute that stays next to you the entire day and will go on adventures with you, he is the dog for you.”

Sampson went on a field trip to Busch Gardens. He adored meeting new people at the front entrance of the park.
