The Heritage Humane Society (HHS) encourages the participation of individuals who wish to support our mission statement and core values. Orientation is required for participation in our Volunteer Program and will be provided by HHS throughout the year. We kindly ask you to commit to a minimum of 6 hours per month for a 6 month period of time. Additional training may be required for some volunteer positions.
MISSION STATEMENT:
The Heritage Humane Society serves as the compassionate steward of companion animals that are in transition from stray/surrender to forever homes. Heritage Humane Society will also educate the public about humane animal care and treatment, advocate animal welfare, and provide affordable adoption and spay/neuter services to measurably reduce overpopulation of unwanted companion animals.
PLEASE FILL OUT THIS FORM:
Participants must be at least 16 years old to volunteer . Volunteers under 18 must have a parent(s)/legal guardian(s) sign our Liability Waiver on their behalf, as it is a legally binding document.
Update: Due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in our area, we are temporarily suspending the orientation and training of new volunteers. We will reevaluate the situation after the New Year. We will keep your application on file and when we are able to offer our volunteer orientations again we will contact you via email with more details.
