We are excited to introduce you to Heritage Humane Society’s new contract veterinarian, Dr. Andrew Moyer. Dr. Moyer was born and raised in Richmond, VA, where he met his wife, Nicole, in high school. They both attended VCU for undergraduate studies and were married at William and Mary in Williamsburg before moving to Illinois for Dr. Moyer to attend the University of IL College of Veterinary Medicine. He graduated in 2015, and they moved to Raleigh/Cary, NC where Dr. Moyer practiced for over 5 years. He and Nicole are happy to be back in Virginia!
In his free time, Dr. Moyer enjoys playing drums, going on hikes with his wife and their pup Ellie (seen above), and just relaxing at home watching movies. Dr. Moyer has special interests in community education, behavior, nutrition, and dentistry. He has always had a special place in his heart for shelter and humane society medicine and care. He is practicing at VCA Boulevard Animal Hospital in Newport News.
