Our goal at Heritage Humane Society is to help pets find forever homes and to remain in those homes with the families they love. Unfortunately pets are often surrendered for behavior problem, financial issues or because the owner is moving to a place that doesn’t allow pets. If you are faced with any of these circumstances surrendering your animal should be done so as the last resort.
Heritage Humane Society does not accept injured wildlife. If you have found wildlife in urgent need or rescue, please contact Wilflife Response at 757-543-7000 or Tidewater Wildlife Rescue at 757-255-8710.
