Elise brings a strong foundation in education, animal care, and sanctuary work to her role in humane education. Elise started her work with animals at the Genesee Country Village & Museum, a living history museum in upstate NY. While working there, she quickly discovered her love of both animals and informal education. Following this, she transitioned from working with farm animals to former research animals—specifically cats and dogs—at Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary. There she developed a particular passion for working with dogs, especially those with behavioral challenges, further solidifying her dedication to compassionate care for all animals. Now, she is excited to be leading the humane education programs, where she can use her animal background to help the local community imagine a better future for all living creatures!
