Tora came to HHS in Jun. 2024. Both of her eyes appeared injected and after a veterinarian examined her, she was diagnosed with entropion. Entropion is a turning of the eyelid edges, which can cause the lashes to rub against the eye, a very painful condition. Surgery was needed for Tora to live a pain-free life and thanks to Giving Tuesday donations, HHS was able to provide that for her. After surgery, Tora was finally able to close her eyes completely for the first time in probably a very, very long time and she is feeling so much better! The amazing thing is that through all her pain and post-surgery recovery, she was nothing by endless purrs and snuggles to everyone at HHS.
To help Tora on her journey to a fur-ever home,Williamsburg Jewelershas kindly sponsored her adoption fee in memory of Tina Thurston’s late father, David Thurston.
Our pet viewing and adoption hours are 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday – Sunday. Please come meet Tora in person! She is purr-fect!
