What do Greater Williamsburg’s chefs and cooks do to help area homeless pets? They show their love by creating mouthwatering soups now on sale online for The Heritage Humane Society‘s 2022 Holiday Bazaar. Leading up to this year’s annual event, presales are now live for signature soups and raffles.

Get souped up for homeless pets

“Here at Opus 9, we have participated in the Soup Auction for Heritage Humane Society for years. As a restaurant, we are often approached for donations of staff and food for events, which we are not always able to provide. A soup donation has been a great way to participate in a worthy cause. The Heritage Humane volunteers have made this easy for us by having great communication, being organized, and scheduling pick-ups. Always a pleasure to work with them,” shares Jessica Smith, Director of Sales and Marketing for Opus 9 Steakhouse and Craft 31.

Shop soup online, pick-up in person

Soups can only be ordered online here and are pick-up only. Soups can only be picked up on Sat., Nov. 19, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Bruton Parish Hall. Bruton Parish Hall is located at 331 W. Duke of Gloucester Street, Williamsburg, VA 23185. For every quart of gourmet soup purchased, a fresh-baked baguette accompanies it compliments of Panera Bread.

“The soup sale has long been a favorite community tradition associated with The Heritage Humane Society’s annual Holiday Bazaar,” says Leslie Nadeau, soup chairperson for this event for many years. “For years, people lined up for it in person, however, last year we switched to only pre-order soup sales, which has tremendously helped guest flow and satisfaction at the event, and we are excited that people have this easy, online, on-click opportunity.”

Golden ticket raffle opportunity

Presales have also opened for the Holiday Bazaar’s online raffles. There are six themed bundles: Fun for Two, Family Fun, Flowers & Jewelry, Williamsburg Fun, Something to WINE About, and FORE Golf Lovers and a seventh raffle item is a $500 VISA gift card.
