Thank you to everyone who purchased a bow for our 2020 Holiday Fur Tree! Each bow was hand-tied and put-on display on the Fur Tree in front of Mermaid Books in Williamsburg from November 27, 2020 until January 5, 2021.

This was a record-breaking year for this annual fundraiser. We raised $14,000 for the homeless pets in our care and had more than 320 ribbons to honor and memorialize those that we love. Everything from the real-estate space, tree, ribbons, and labor was donated by dedicated businesses and our Heritage Humane Society Auxiliary members in our community. Therefore, all the money raised from Fur Tree went directly towards helping these homeless pets. As the weather gets colder, having a warm place to stay, a healthy meal to eat and the medical care they need until they are adopted is so crucial, and we want to thank everyone who helped provide that. This year’s tree also carried a silver banner celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Heritage Humane Society Auxiliary! What a wonderful achievement by these special volunteers!
By remembering your pets and special pet-lovers with a bow, our community is also remembering our homeless ones, and we so appreciate it. For the many pets currently in our care, we are so incredibly grateful for this donation. We have so much to be thankful for at Heritage Humane Society, and that includes you!

Our 2020 Fur Tree had 329 red bows and a beautiful silver bow to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the HHS Auxiliary!
