Registration and sponsorships are now open for the area’s most popular charity golf tournament, Make Par for Pets Golf Classic to benefit The Heritage Humane Society. Mark your calendar for Sept. 15, 2023 for great golf and furry friends.
Presented by Invisible Fence Brand of Hampton Roads, Make Par for Pets is the shelter’s largest outdoor fundraiser and one of its most popular. Last year’s players were already planning to sign up for 2023 thanks to the top-notch courses, camaraderie, food and beverages, and of course, knowing they were supporting Greater Williamsburg’s largest homeless pet shelter.

Play championship golf courses while benefiting homeless pets

After a crowd-pleasing first year, Make Par for Pets Golf Classic is once again taking place at Kingsmill Resort. The famed River and Plantation courses, known for hosting PGA and LPGA events over the years, will once again welcome the charity event’s players.
The event is Fri., Sept. 15, 2023 and the format is captain’s choice, also known as a scramble. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. in the Links Landing Tent. Players can browse the popular raffle table while enjoying a continental breakfast.
Even some of the shelter’s dogs will get in on the action. Adoptable dogs will be on-hand at the tournament to wish golfers good luck as they head out to the course. Contest holes are also included throughout the event play.
A fiesta-themed lunch will greet golfers returning from playing 18 holes. Held in the Kingsmill Ballroom, participants will be treated to one of the most spectacular views of the James River. Winners will then be recognized and raffle prizes distributed.

Register now, tee times are already booking

Players can register as individuals or book as teams. Last year 280 golfers took on the championship courses of the Kingsmill Golf Club. Registration is $150 per person or $600 per foursome and golfers can easily register online. Each registration includes greens fee, cart, range use, continental breakfast, draft beer, and buffet lunch.
