A Message from Heritage Humane Society’s Executive Director, Kimberly Laska
Dear Community Members,
The Heritage Humane Society will be open this weekend as follows:
-
Sat, May 13 – Sun., May 14, 12:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Cats, small animals and select dogs (fully vaccinated and healthy) will be available for adoption.
-
On Mon., May 15, our new roofing project will begin, weather permitting. We are so grateful for the community’s support that is allowing this initiative to take place starting next week. So for now, our plan is to be closed from Mon., May 15 – Thurs., May 18. We will not be open to the public while the construction is happening.
-
On Fri., May 19, The Heritage Humane Society will be returning to full and normal operations, minus the dogs that we will still be monitoring until their vaccines have taken full effect.
While the shelter viewing is limited, please spend time with adoptable cats at the Cat Cove at the Nautical Dog in New Town located at 5012 Main Street, Williamsburg.
Please watch our social media or website for updates. If you have an emergency situation or find a stray animal in our service area, please call us at (757) 221-0150 ext. 0 before you come in. It is critical that we are prepared for your arrival.
Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding during this challenging time.
Warm regards,
Kimberly Laska, CAWA
Executive Director
